Personal trip planning
Three options are open for inquiry: a Seattle visit, a PNW camping trip for locals or Seattle fly-in visitors, and a bespoke trip based on Mat’s firsthand scouting archive. Planning fees, deliverables and any booking assistance are agreed individually before work starts. No payment or reservation is taken through the inquiry form.
Why offer free browsing?
You can see the maps, read working notes and decide whether a trip fits before buying a fieldbook. Travel Scout is Mat’s independent project, with optional paid digital guides alongside the free collection.
Accounts and data
Trip inquiries store your name, reply email and the brief you submit in a private owner inbox. Mat can use them to review and respond to your request. No account is needed to inquire. Do not include payment-card details, passport numbers or medical information.
Signed-in state travel marks and PNW votes are stored against your ChatGPT user ID. Release notifications store the email and state you submit. The PNW owner notebook stores Mat’s private report and research notes; those notes are not part of the public collection. Public visit marks and shortlists belong to Mat’s notebook.
Shopify handles the fieldbook checkout. Travel Scout’s own forms do not collect payment-card details. Only send your email through the release form if you want a guide-release notification.
