From Mat’s trips

A feel for Georgetown

Georgetown’s useful walking core is small, and that is part of its appeal. A few shops, a drink and the historic industrial streetscape can make a satisfying late-afternoon outing.

The Corson Building is the culinary anchor I remember. Make dinner the main event, with the service schedule and reservation arranged before you go.

Shape your day

  1. Arrive for a short late-afternoon street walk.

  2. Choose one or two drinks or shops.

  3. Make a reservation-led dinner the main event.
