A feel for Beacon Hill & Columbia City

Beacon Hill is compact, cozy and connected by Link. Columbia City has a stronger commercial spine and a family-oriented town-center feeling.

I enjoy this part of Seattle, especially for a neighborhood evening. It makes more sense for a local, a repeat visitor or someone staying nearby than as a mandatory detour on a first trip.

Shape your day

  1. Arrive by Link and take a Beacon Hill park and dinner walk.

  2. On a separate evening or extended route, follow Columbia City's main commercial street for food and bars.

  3. Add Seward Park when the day is oriented toward Lake Washington and a car or suitable transit plan is available.
