A feel for Queen Anne

Lower Queen Anne, also called Uptown, is the public, event-oriented base of the hill. Seattle Center and Climate Pledge Arena bring museums, concerts and game-day activity together.

Upper Queen Anne changes the pace. Walk Queen Anne Avenue for shops and restaurants, then turn into side streets for small parks and views toward Elliott Bay. The steep back side drops toward the Ship Canal, Westlake and Fremont—choose that extension deliberately.

Shape your day

  1. Spend the morning or afternoon at Seattle Center and Climate Pledge Arena surroundings.

  2. Climb or ride to upper Queen Anne and walk the main commercial street.

  3. Choose a viewpoint, park and dinner on the hilltop.

  4. Extend down the north or east side only with a deliberate Fremont, Ship Canal or Westlake plan.
