Day 1
Travel to Leavenworth, arrange the trailhead shuttle or car placement, check conditions and sleep early.
Day 2
Complete the point-to-point day hike only with suitable fitness and conditions. Carry sufficient food, layers, navigation and lighting; use a planned turnaround decision.
Day 3
Recover over breakfast and travel home.

Planning allowance for one adult starting and ending in Seattle, using an existing car. Hotel allowances cover the room without assuming a roommate. No flights, vehicle rental or paid trip-planning service are included. Mountain trips assume the experience and equipment described below.

A strenuous day hike for experienced hikers, not a casual walk. Confirm the day-use permit and parking requirements; an overnight in the permit area requires a separate overnight permit. Keep a shorter hike as the weather alternative.
